Stand Your Ground
On Tuesday 21 June 2011 six photographers were assigned different areas of the City to photograph. Some used tripods, some went hand held, one set up a 5 x 4.
All were instructed to keep to public land and photograph the area as they would on a normal day. The event aimed to test the policing of public and private space by private security firms and their reaction to photographers.
All six photographers were stopped on at least one occasion. Three encounters led to police action.
This is what happened.

Life goes...
Life goes at full speed, so many opportunities passes by, so many trains are lost (from the session with Iulia at the rail roads).

Never mess with the Romanian army!
Saturday I was invited to take pictures at the graduation ceremony of the Technical Military Academy in Bucharest, class of 2011. Keep in mind, they are not only officers, they are also engineers (specialised in various fields, from rocketry to computers and intelligence)... so they will not only kick your butt, but your brains too... if need be.

On the tracks
Last week I had a photo session with Iulia near the railroads (more photos will come in later posts) in this unexpected place inside the city (yes, still inside the Bucharest city limits). See, she can be sad, happy, hopeful... and always sexy.

Free Hugs
Need a hug?

Maybe you will be able to get one for free... (last Saturday a bunch of kids gathered in the Herastrau park of Bucharest to give free hugs)

And hug everybody... until you can hug no more :)

Colored eyes
This contact lenses photo session was in the planning for a long time and last week-end the client (is made for an online store selling cosmetic contact lenses) finally made it happen. For the final product the images won't be used like this, but as crops closed to the eyes, to better show the products. But we don't sell stuff here, this is about beauty...

Walking on Calea Victoriei
On the route to Bucharest Music Film Festival in the beautiful light before the sunset and having the wide lens ready... you have to take the pics:

Some of the things to be seen: National Museum of Art, Piața Revoluției, Carol's Statue, Telephone Palace.

Bucharest Music Film Festival
These days the city is hosting the Bucharest Music Film Festival right in the city center, at Piața Revoluției, in front of the Atheneum and the National Art Museum. As the name says, the main feature is classical music:

A lot of people, of various ages and backgrounds, are attending every day:

And they seems to enjoy it:

I enjoyed it too once this week, if time and schedule allows, maybe I will do it again.
